Olympic Silver Medalist visits Jane Addams |

Bridget Sloan, Olympic silver medalist on the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team, was in town visiting her family and made a stop at Jane Addams Elementary School where her cousin Elizabeth McDermott is a student. Ms. Sloan is an Indiana native, but her parents are from the Quad-Cities. She spoke about her experiences during the competition in Beijing and answered questions from the children.

Bridget Sloan, Olympic Silver Medalist, said her training consists of five to six hours a day. She goes to school from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and then goes to the gym.

Bridget Sloan does have ties with Moline School District No. 40.
