Cheerleaders win First Place at State Competition
|
The Moline High School Varsity Cheerleading squad attended the Universal Cheer Association camp/competition at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, from July 6 - 9. The Moline girls won first place for their stunt and dance sequence. They also won the title of overall camp champions as well as receiving a second place trophy for their “home routine,” which was choreographed by the squad’s captains.
The squad consisted of (back row) Cassie Covemaker, Jessica White, Halle Potter, Kailyn Pauley, Andrea Abarca, Kianna Lyall, Cheyenne Clark, Aubrey Simons, Kiersten Scurlock, Rebekah Verbeke, Jenna Weger, Kaylie Bauerman, and Jessie Cooper.
