An Amazing Man Speaks to Motivate

Amputee skydiver and pilot shares exciting experiences with students

From flying out of airplanes to navigating hot air balloons, motivational speaker and skydiver, Dana Bowman, visited Franklin Elementary School students to share his exciting stories.

Bowman, of Ft. Worth, Texas, was involved in an Army skydiving collision resulting in the loss of both of his legs and the life of his friend. He spoke about overcoming disability, facing adversity and dealing with change. As the first amputee to enlist in the Army, and now retired, he still maintains his active lifestyle in spite of his disability.  He has endorsed Nike shoes and has spoken about his experiences nationwide.

“It’s not the Disability, It’s the Ability"

Dana Bowman was a Special Forces soldier and a member of the U.S. Army’s elite parachute team, The Golden Knights. In 1994, a mid-air collision cost him both of his legs. His determination in the Army, and now in the civilian world, has earned him worldwide recognition as a motivational speaker and skydive demonstrator. He travels the nation inspiring people with his motto…It’s Not the Disability, It’s the Ability, Never Quit. For more information on Dana Bowman visit www.danabowman.com.
