Run for the Teacher 5K/1-Mile Fun Run

                       1-Mile - 9 A.M.
Packet Pickup - 6:45 - 7:45 A.M. by south tennis courts at Moline High School

Why:  This benefit race is being held on behalf of the family of Lori Welch, a 3rd grade teacher at Lincoln-Irving School (Moline), who has been fighting a 7-year battle against breast cancer.  ALL proceeds will be used to help offset expenses that the Welch family has incurred during this struggle.  Due to recent complications, Lori is currently on medical leave for the remainder of this year.  The loss of this income is financially devastating on this family.  Lori and her husband Jack (a Sherrard teacher) have given so much to so many over the years, and this is a chance to reach into our hearts and give back to one of our own.
