WILSON'S PRESDIENTIAL ELECTION: Local print and broadcast media personnel including Jenna Morton of WQAD were on hand to cover the election that was held last Friday. Watch WQAD's coverage of the event.

 

ELECTION RESULTS: 837 Staff and Students voted on Friday, November 2nd in the Wilson Presidential Election organized by Mrs. Wiemers' class. Her class counted the votes and report that President Barack Obama won the election with 78% of the Wilson vote. Govenor Mitt Romney received 21%, and 1% of the ballots were attibuted to invalid, spoiled ballots and unofficial write-in candidates.

RECYCLE CLUB:  Thank you for your effort to recycle the milk cartons the last couple of weeks, but unfortunately we are not allowed to continue this.  The cartons have a waxy layer on the outside of the box which is unable to be recycled.  So we ask that you recycle your water bottles and juice containers in the appropriate container.  Thank you for helping our environment.

WAY COOL STEM SCIENCE CLUB:  There will be a science club meeting TOMORROW, Thursday, November 8th from 3:15–5 p.m. in Ms. Fowler’s room (A129).  Any questions?  Please see Ms. Fowler or Mr. Strafford.

YOUNG LIFE:  7th & 8th grade campaigners will meet Thursday, November 8th at 7:27 p.m. at the Young Life office.

JOHN DEERE-MOLINE/COAL VALLEY SCHOOLS SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD: The recipients for the first quarter partnership awards have been announced and posted to the Deere Awards webpage. Congratulations to Carly Klingbiel and Mrs. McKee!

YEARBOOK SALES:  Each Period 1 teacher has an order envelope.  The students highlighted on this list HAVE already ordered a yearbook either at registration or at parent conferences last week.  Students may order yearbooks in Period 1 class through November 21st.  Cost is $20.00 – cash, check, or money order made payable to Moline Board of Education.  All students are encouraged to order yearbooks NOW!  The only way to guarantee that you get your copy is to order it in November.  The price will increase to $25.00 after Thanksgiving.
