The Wilson wrestling team is on the mats. The Wildcats have been practicing every night from 3-5:30 p.m. for weeks to prepare for their December matches. The head coach for both 7th and 8th grade wrestling teams is Mr. Bill Carlough. \"This year's team is a normal size group, but the boys are putting in more practice time than they have in the past,\" says assistant coach, Mr. Bob Beem.
Eighth grade grapplers include: Tony Catour, Ben Leaf, Kevin Kluck, Jon Jump, Jacob Suter, Ryan Neujahr, Josh Anspach, Jace Griffith, Josh Rudolph, Loren Yeager, Wayne DeSmet, Aaron Greene, and John Van Voltenburg. Also found on the mats are Forrest Miller, Jason Chapman, Ryan Dierks, Mike Anderson, Lucas Irvine, Adam Dawson, David Gibbs, Mark Lynch, Troy Hanson, Phillip Spurgetis, Dustin Holman, Chad Stephenson, Eric Hamlyn and Ryan Olson.
Wrestling for the 7th grade team are: Ben Schur, Nick Harris, A.J. Wymore, Joe Cathelyn, Robert Morris, Willie Smutz, Wade Strait, Eric Neels, Steven Sears, Mike Smutz, Heinrich Felgar, Adam Lewis, Justin Suter and Marshal Rottman.
Managers for the Wilson wrestlers are Jenna Pitcher, Tamyra Dobereiner, Mindy James and Amanda Caras.
