MHS Students Accept Local Apprenticeships

MHS students joined over 60 students from area high schools at the Quad Cities Chamber Apprenticeship Signing  Day at the Waterford Convention Center on April 20, 2021. Eight MHS students signed letters of intent for CNC and Welding apprenticeships.
The CNC apprenticeship is in its third year and currently has 17 students working towards becoming journeymen with one student already completing the program. The welding program will be kicking off this summer and has three students signed to start the apprenticeship program with five more students waiting to be placed by local companies!
The students will begin their apprenticeships in June, working full-time during the summer months. Then in the fall, they will work part-time as an apprentice while also attending and completing their normal class schedule at Moline High School.
