YEARBOOK SALES: Students and staff can purchase a yearbook now through Thanksgiving for $20 cash or by check payable to Moline Board of Education.

 

CULINARY CLUB: 6/7th grade club will meet TODAY from 3:20-4:20 p.m.  Advanced culinary club will also meet this Friday from 4:20-5:20 p.m.  Bring your folders! 

 

L.O.F.L. HOMEWORK ASSIST AND SSR (SUSTAINED SILENT READING): Were you cold waiting outside this morning?  Did you know that you can come into the building at 7:20 a.m. every day? You can! Use the main entrance and get a pass to attend the silent reading program or the homework assist program!  

 

L.O.F.L. MINDFULNESS CLUB: Do you need a calm place to start your day? Join Mrs. Bybee every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:20 a.m. for mindfulness club! Learn what mindfulness is and how it may benefit you! 

 

L.O.F.L. DRAMA CLUB: We will be going to John Deere today! Meet in Mrs. Erb’s room right after school. You will need your permission slip signed to attend!

ARCHERY CLASS: Are you interested in archery?? There is a new archery club that meets at the Salvation Army building on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. They also have a teen night open to young people 12-years-old and older each Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m.  There is an informational flyer available in the office.

MOLINE PUBLIC LIBRARY WRITERS GROUP: The Moline Public Library’s Write Now! writers group is open to teen and adult writers. Bring up to six pages of something you’re working on to get feedback and advice. The next meeting is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18 at 6:00 p.m.

MOLINE PUBLIC LIBRARY KNIT & CROCHET CIRCLE: Help the Moline Public Library knit or crochet blanket squares TODAY, at 5:30 p.m. Blanket squares will be used to make complete blankets which will be donated to Project Linus. Supplies are provided but limited.

MOLINE PUBLIC LIBRARY SEWING CIRCLE: Students in grades 4 through 10 can learn to sew using sewing machines and hand-stitching. Create lap quilts and lap blankets to donate to a nursing home. Sessions will be held TOMORROW, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14th and MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18th at 6:00 p.m. Registration is required.

Mrs. McKee will have a box at the entrance to collect your envelopes.  She will get them back to you on Tuesday after some updates.

ATTENTION ALL CULINARY CLUB MEMBERS:  Both 6/7th grade and Advanced culinary club will meet TODAY.  6/7th grade culinary club will meet from 3:20-4:20. Advanced culinary club will meet from 4:20-5:20.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Smice. 

 

8th grade ART CLUB: There is a classroom code posted in the hallway by Mrs. Denys’ room. If you have turned in your form for Art Club to both Mrs. Denys and your LOFL form, please join this classroom by the end of the week to view the schedule for each group. The blue group will meet first on Monday, November 4th.

VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY: Wilson’s Annual Veterans Day assembly will be held on Friday, November 8th. If you would like to bring a Veteran and be part of our special recognition, please pick up a form from the office or Mrs. Walters. The deadline for forms is TODAY!

MOLINE YOUTH BASKETBALL: Boys in grades 7 and 8 can tryout on Sunday, November 3rd at Wharton Field House. 7th-graders will check-in beginning at 4:30 p.m. and tryouts are scheduled from 5:00- 6:30 p.m. 8th-graders will check-in beginning at 6:30 p.m. and tryouts will run from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  Additional information and a sign-up form are available in the office and online.
