University Field Experiences

University Field Experiences

Moline-Coal Valley School District proudly partners with local colleges and universities to provide field experiences for undergraduate and graduate students preparing for a job in the field of education.  Experiences range from single-day classroom visits for those early in their education journey, to formal observation hours, student teaching, clinical hours, and internship opportunities.  Prior to accepting students for formal field experiences, the district must have an established memorandum of understanding with the college or university the candidate attends.  To establish a memorandum of understanding, please contact the district central office at 309-743-1600.

For candidates interested in formal observation hours or student teaching in a Moline-Coal Valley district school, please complete the google interest form linked here  or print, complete, and email this form at least the semester prior to your desired experience.  In addition to the interest form, we will also need a copy of the candidate’s resume, which can be emailed to treed@molineschools.org.  We have observation and student teaching opportunities in all grade levels, ranging from PreK through 12th grade.  If you have further questions about the matching process after completing the interest form, please contact Tarrah Reed in the Curriculum Office at 309-743-8124.

For candidates interested in clinical hours or internships with our related service providers, please complete the google interest form linked here or print, complete, and email this form at least the semester prior to your desired experience.  In addition to the interest form, we will also need a copy of the candidate’s resume, which can be emailed to cogle@molineschools.org.  While we employ fewer related service providers than we do teachers, we are always interested in matching you with one of our skilled clinicians in these areas:
